Pork with Apple Puree for baby

12 + months
Recipe
Prep: 5 mins
Cooking: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • ½ cup pork tenderloin, cut into ¼ inch dice
  • ¼ cup diced carrot
  • 1 cup unsalted vegetable or chicken stock
  • 1 pouch Gerber® Organic Apple Purée

Utensils

This recipe should only be fed to seated, supervised children who are accustomed to solid foods

Step by step

  • Add pork, carrots and stock to a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let cook for 20 minutes until pork is thoroughly cooked through and carrots are soft enough to be easily mashed. Remove from heat.

  • Once cool enough to handle, remove pork from the pot and shred the pork by pushing down on a fork against the grain. Strain the carrots and add them to a bowl with the pork and gently mash with a fork.

Tip

Pork can be substituted with chicken if preferred.
