Information About Our Voluntary Recall of One SKU of Gerber® Arrowroot Biscuits

Nestlé Canada is initiating a voluntary recall of one SKU of Gerber® Arrowroot Biscuits out of an abundance of caution due to the potential presence of soft, plastic and/or paper pieces that should not be consumed. The material comes from an arrowroot flour supplier who informed us of a recall. We are no longer working with the flour supplier.

This voluntary recall is isolated to three batches of Gerber® Arrowroot Biscuits 155g products. No other Gerber® products are affected by this recall.

The CFIA has classified this as a Class 3 recall: There is a low risk that consuming the food may result in any undesirable health problems. This class also includes food that do not pose a health risk, but that do not comply with legislation.

Nestlé Canada has not received any complaints related to this issue. We are acting out of an abundance of caution following a recall from the supplier.

The quality and safety of our products is our highest priority, and we take the responsibility of feeding babies seriously.

Consumers who have purchased affected Gerber® Arrowroot Biscuits should not feed this product to their child and can contact Nestlé Consumer Services at 1-800-387-5536 or consumer.care@ca.nestle.com (Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST) for reimbursement and then dispose of the product.
